Q: Do I need to pre-book my entry tickets?

There is no need to pre-book tickets to gain entry to the Gold Coast Turf Club; you can purchase your tickets at the entry gates when you arrive on the day.

However, on feature racedays you can take advantage of our 'early bird' offers and pre-purchase your tickets before the day. 

Q: What should I wear to the races?

Fashion and style are always an important part of any day at the races!

There is no particular dress code for our public areas (although dressing up is part of the fun!) with some exceptions for fancy dress and other items.

There are some dress codes for our Members, Function and Dining areas.

Q: What time do the races start?

Starting times for race meetings vary from week to week depending on daylight savings and the length of the race program. Most races at the Club start around mid morning to midday.

The official racetimes for the Gold Coast Turf Club are confirmed by Racing Queensland two days prior to the raceday.  Click on the 'latest online racebook' on our home page to find out the times of the upcoming raceday.

Q: Is the racecourse child friendly?

Children under 18 years are entitled to ‘free entry’ to the racecourse when accompanied by a suitable parent or guardian.  High chairs are also available in our dining and function rooms, please contact the Functions department on 07 5538 1599 to ensure your seat.
 

Q: Where can I purchase a racebook?

Official racebooks including the race program and form guides are available for sale at each of our race meetings. You can purchase a racebook at the raceday ticketing office located just inside the entry gates.
